Abstract

Two 1958 interviews with Florence Bittner, curator of Villa Louis, Prairie du Chien, Wis., home of the Dousman family and a historical site operated by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. An Aug. 26 interview describes a French cookbook, cooking, entertaining, and housekeeping in the Dousman house. A Jan. 9 interview concerns the furnishings and appearance of the kitchen and dining room at Villa Louis.
